A WORD FROM YOUR OUTFITTER

I’m often asked what sets us apart and my answer is always the same. 'It's the experience of the hunt'.

With your own local New Zealand hunting guide the diversity and quality of my private wilderness land we hunt on, no other New Zealand hunting outfitters or guides can match and that is guaranteed, all right on our doorstep down here in the South Island. When other Outfitters are tying to follow you in setting the standard of hunting down here you know you're doing things the right way for your clients. We are just in a stunning place to live, hunt, fish and tour around, where else in the country can you have 45,000 acres to yourself with glaciers in the background. For that reason we choose not to hunt on government land due to lack of game management.

I’m a proud New Zealander, born and raised on the South Island, a long time member of the New Zealand Hunting Guides Association, Dallas Safari Club, Wild Sheep Foundation, and Safari Club International since 2007. It's been a lifetime of building personal relationships with private landowners to give you access to a hunting experience you’ll never forget. They are, in a word…spectacular. Thousands of acres of wild and stunning scenery filled with plentiful, high quality game. Decades later, I still guide over 90% of our hunts because I love what I do as much as I love giving personal attention and building a relationship with every client. With New Zealand Safaris you’ll experience a truly customized hunting experience and discover the best of what New Zealand has to offer in the privacy of your own hunting party. Combined with our own fishing and tour guide we can help you enjoy this amazing country.

I welcome you to personally get in touch with me and give us the opportunity to discuss further our “Hunting Safari Experience”. It’s a story you’ll be telling for a long time to come.

  • “Jim has an intimate knowledge of the animals and their habits. He frequently predicted what the animals were going to do before they did it. In addition, he has a complete knowledge of the tens of thousands of acres he hunts. And now for the good part, Jim is completely focused on your hunt being successful. Jim is the best outfitter-guide I have ever had."
