As a family-owned and operated business built from the ground up and owned exclusively by Jim, we pride ourselves on offering personalised service and attention to detail. Rather than focusing on high-volume operations, we specialise in delivering premium hunting experiences where quality always comes before quantity.
New Zealand Safaris is renowned for premier big game hunting, including world-class red stag, Himalayan tahr, fallow deer, chamois, elk, and other iconic New Zealand game species. Combined with exceptional fishing and wing shooting opportunities, we provide a complete outdoor adventure for hunters and non-hunters alike.
Whether your dream is to backpack into remote alpine country for a true wilderness tahr hunt, spending nights in backcountry cabins surrounded by glaciers, or to enjoy comfortable lodge accommodation while hunting from a daily base, we tailor every safari to suit your goals and experience level.
We also offer both free-range hunting across vast high-country properties and premium estate hunting for exceptional trophy animals. Founded by hunting outfitter and guide Jim Gibson, we’ve spent a lifetime building personal relationships with private landowners to give you access to a hunting experience you’ll never forget. Thousands of acres of world-class scenery, filled with high-quality game.
One of the greatest advantages of staying with us is the convenience of our location. Most of our hunting areas can be reached directly from the lodge each day, with our world-class Himalayan tahr country less than an hour’s drive away. This means less time travelling and more time hunting.
Located in Fairlie in the central South Island, our primary hunting lodge — All Seasons Lodge — is within 5 to 30 minutes of our hunting properties, and 20 minutes to an hour from major New Zealand sightseeing attractions. We can help you tailor your hunting experience to include memorable activities for family and non-hunters.
